Tackle Twill Instructions
Tackle Twill Step-by-Step
Instructions
What do you need to start?
1. An embroidery machine (any brand may be used)
2. An embroidery file designed to sew down the tackle twill (tackle twill sew
disk)
3. Pre-cut tackle twill to match the sew disk (you cut it or we can
cut it for you)

The instructions below show the steps needed to
sew two layers of
tackle twill plus embroidery.
|
Step 1
Hoop and load your garment as you would for normal embroidery.
Start by sewing the first color of the tackle twill sew disk.
This will sew an outline of the first layer of tackle twill.

|
|
Step 2
Using the stitched outline as a guide, adhere the tackle twill
to the garment with a tacking iron.
Be sure to apply the tackle twill carefully. The more accurately is it aligned, the
better the finished product will look.
Begin sewing the next color. The embroidery machine will begin sewing the
tackle twill in place. As the sewing
progresses the machine will completely sew the first layer of tackle twill
completely in
place.

|
|
Step 3
The next step is identical to Step 1, using the next color that will outline
the next layer of twill.

|
|
Step 4
Using the stitched outline as a guide, adhere the tackle
twill to the garment with a tacking iron.
Begin sewing the next color. The embroidery machine will sew this
layer completely in place.

|
|
Step 5
The last color of the sew disk will add embroidery on top of
the tackle twill.
This embroidery will cover some of the tackle twill edges, giving the product a
finished look.
Even though the designs may vary greatly, the
basic steps remain the same
for each design you produce with tackle twill.
